Or in this case, October.
Yep, it has been just short of 7 weeks since my last entry (5 weeks if you count the other weblog). And yes, I am burnt out. Not permanently, I expect, but all of the energy put into this whole “blog” thing between July and September really took its toll.
Briefly, what I’ve been up to:
I’ve dipped my foot into GarageBand again, and even put another tune up on iCompositions.com (Five from Xtended is the latest available online).
We took a trip up to the U.P. for Thanksgiving. It was nice. A little hectic, but mostly relaxing, and nice. We spent a little more time with Uncle Nate, Auntie Jaimie, and Faith. That’s always a treat.
In between it all I’ve also been experimenting more with SIP as a way to cut long distance telephone costs. The initial results are promising. Ultimately I’d like to put together a turnkey package that, with a little pre-configuration work, would give you essentially free phone calls to anyone else with the same setup. And here’s the kicker – it works with your normal telephone. The only “catch” is that it’s likely that broadband Internet service would be an effective requirement. Jury’s out on that last bit, though. (On that note, if you have a broadband connection and you’d like to try it out from your computer – for free, of course – drop me a line.)
The Christmas season is always a little busy around here. Don’t be surprised if there’s no update again for a while.
