I highly recommend that anyone in an IT or security position listen to this interview. Dr. Geer wraps up the interview with this:

All I’m trying to get across… is that if you can anticipate these trends, you probably will be able to react to them much more efficaciously than if you wait until they are already biting you. Or, putting it differently, if you don’t have a building code, get a fire department; but if you want to think ahead, get a building code, and that’s what I’m suggesting here.
